Here’s evidence of a couple of 50+ year old businesses that are still thriving in Christchurch and are still very connected to one another.
Musgrove’s current GM, Sue Brown (who is also co-incidentally a Board member at NZIM) came across this 1972 Article which mentions both Musgroves and the New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM). In another crazy coincidence the current CEO of NZIM (Debra Buckley) was instrumental is facilitating the demolition and sale of the building at 307 Madras Street (after the 2011 earthquakes) that is referred to in this 1972 article, that the demolition was making way for.

Whilst Musgroves is no longer in the business of demolition it is very much still in the business of recycling building materials from demolitions and NZIM is still very much the leading provider of adult education in NZ
