American Oregon Workbench

Margaret purchased a 6m length of recycled American Oregon to create a workbench. She had the bench fabricated to her measurements by Division Engineering and the timber was cut to fit.

She used a wire brush and steel wool to tidy up the timber—minimal treatment to retain the original character of its aged surface and colour as much as possible, with a final application of Briwax Clear wax to give the finish that can be seen in the photos.

Margaret was pleased to have achieved the exact look she was aiming for and her workbench has a home in her summerhouse, annexing off her potager walled vegetable garden, and will be used for gardening tasks.
