Margaret purchased a 6m length of recycled American Oregon to create a workbench. She had the bench fabricated to her measurements by Division Engineering and the timber was cut to fit.
She used a wire brush and steel wool to tidy up the timber—minimal treatment to retain the original character of its aged surface and colour as much as possible, with a final application of Briwax Clear wax to give the finish that can be seen in the photos. Â
Margaret was pleased to have achieved the exact look she was aiming for and her workbench has a home in her summerhouse, annexing off her potager walled vegetable garden, and will be used for gardening tasks.
