This beautiful display was created by Daphne for the South Island Rose Societies competition, hosted this year in Oamaru. Daphne’s created the piece for the competition section “Oamaru – Whitestone Country: Portray Oamaru in Roses”, where Whitestone had to be included as part of the design.
So Daphne set out to find the perfect piece of Whitestone – and found exactly what she had in mind here at Musgroves. Daphne said it was the best $10 purchase and fun she’d enjoyed for a long time! Paired with roses from her own garden, plus charming touches inspired by Oamaru’s little blue penguins and steam punk, the finished piece is a stunning and thoughtful tribute.
