Tim has sent us an inspirational DIY project: A herringbone-pattern Matai table top.
“We came to Musgroves in search of options for the topside of a large indoor table. After reviewing your excellent selection and speaking with staff we settled on 30lm of Matai T&G flooring boards.
83mm boards were used for the dual herringbone pattern, and 58mm boards were used for the border with the tongue removed.
The boards were glued using Titebond 3 onto a plywood sheet on top of black-stained pine legs. The table measures 2.4 by 1.1m.”
