Rimu panelling and drawers

What do you do when you have an old, ugly, disused fireplace in the dining room? Serial Wall-of-Famer Blaise had a genius solution! The dining room in his 1930s house still had its original panelling, so he made up more panelling to hide the void left after finishing the very messy job of fireplace removal. Besides the rimu timber, the black hearth was also purchased from Musgroves.

The icing on the cake of this superbly-executed project is the three speakeasy-style pull-out drawers used to store the wine and beer collection!

If you enjoyed this project, please share it on your socials, thanks!
